Putting An End To Sex Trafficking
The Oakland Tribune recently wrote an article discussing Oakland’s efforts to end sex trafficking and prostitution, especially when the victims are young girls. The article talks about the Victory Outreach church of Oakland; they created programs for people to talk to young girls on the streets in hopes of letting them know they have support and a way out of that lifestyle. The article also mentions a recent arrest that took place in Oakland where 31 year old pimp, Vincent Turner was arrested for kidnapping, raping and trafficking two teenage girls. The article’s focus is the progress that is being made in Oakland to bring awareness to the issue of sex trafficking and prostitution
