Kelis Is Tryna Make Ends Meet While Nas Plays Games With Child Support
Nas and Kelis filed for a divorce in April of 2009.Since then the former couple has been entangled in a battle over custody and financial support. A judge ordered Nas to pay Kelis $51,000 a month in child support and spousal support, plus medical expenses for their young son. Nas fesses up to Kelis’s claims that he was unfaithful during their almost five year union. Nas raps in his new song Strong Will Continue says “How in the hell am I supposed to stay comfy when I pay child support, alimony monthly?” A source tells the associated press that Nas has asked the judge for more time to put together a defense that would prove that he cannot afford the $51.101 a month payments he was offered to pay last year. Nas has been ordered to appear in court next month. If found guilty, he could face jail time.
