Do condoms really protect against all STIs?
My partner and I just had sex for the first time unprotected. I trust her but, how long should I wait to get tested? My girlfriend friend is on the birth control pill. Do we still need to use condoms? How long before the birth control starts working? My boyfriend has had sex with a lot of people and I lost my virginity to my ex-girlfriend, she’s the only person I’ve ever been with. I want him to get tested for STI’s and HIV before we get intimate but he keeps telling me he can’t possibly have HIV because he’s never had anal sex and I don’t have anything to worry about because everything else is curable and it’s like catching a cold. I don’t believe curable STD’s are like catching a cold but I’m kind of worried. Am I overreacting or should I be worried about it all?
At 15, I decided to run away to live with my boyfriend who’s 4 years older than me. After the first month of staying together, he started saying I need to contribute to the household. I told him I can’t get a job and he said his friend would give us money if I had sex with him. I said no but he told me that if I really love him, I would do it for us. He told me an amount to charge and that I shouldn’t use condoms because we can get more money. I really want to help our living situation but I don’t want to catch anything or get pregnant by someone else. Am I wrong for not wanting to contribute?
I went down on my girlfriend for the first time a couple days ago and then yesterday she told me she tested positive for gonorrhea. My friends say I should get tested, but you can only catch STI’s by having sex so since we didn’t have sex, I’m good…right?
