The right and wrong ways of breaking up with someone, I believe it all depends on the type of approach you decide to use. Some people break up the wrong way and can hurt someone simply because of the way they go about it. It may be better to tell a person slowly instead of instantly just saying “it’s over”. A person may not know how to take a break up if it seems blunt and so unexpected. By telling your partner the reasons as to why you want to break up will make the process better.

Breaking up is a really hard thing to do when you’re not sure how the other person is going to react. Yet, breaking up is good if you feel like it will be a weight lifted off of your shoulders. A lot of times two people want to break up, but neither one know what to say. It's not just about what you say, but how to say it, so they both just stay in the relationship unhappy and that’s not healthy at all.
There are tons of reasons why people break up, I think the main two is cheating or abuse. Sometimes people try to hold on to a relationship because they love the person and put so much into the relationship. Starting over with someone else is difficult to think about when you are in a relationship with someone who could be "the one".
It’s always better to break up with somebody in person rather than on the phone, through text message, or through social network. Breaking up in person shows you are mature and it shows you know how to go about the situation in a dignified matter. Breaking up in person can save a lot of confusion and misunderstanding. Breaking up through a text message is pretty childish if you ask me. Even though you don't want to be in the relationship, it just shows how much you never really wanted the relationship in the first place. Breaking up over a social network just shows the relationship was never real and the relationship was just for a show.
