When the song by YG ft. Tyga & Nipsey Hussle,  "Bitches Aint Shit", came on during a function I was at on Saturday, I sat down.  I made new lyrics to the song and everything and I sung them when all the other females where singing the original version.  In addition, I refused to dance with anybody while this song was playing.

First of all, we have an African American male singing about females saying that they are the only ones that make mistakes in relationships. Treating women like they are supposed to just be nasty and dumb and only want to be someone’s video vixen. In the song, one of the rappers also says that he “Needa B**** that can F***, Cook, Clean, right.” He basically stated that females are only good for a few things. We aren’t good for working or being smart, but simply someone that could “F***, cook, and clean.” Women are so downgraded in the media and what can we do about it? Even in different parts of the media they give us no love. For example, females who want to play football have to play in lingerie, while males play in full gear. I do believe that this type of music affects people. People who listen to music like this are filling their heads with negative thoughts. This music makes people think that it is normal to be like that in a relationship. Boys have this mentality and females feel like “well I’m not this or that so this doesn’t apply to me”, when in reality it does. If we had more songs like Murs’  "Love And Appreciate II"  then males might be more motivated to treat women right. I also think the constant disrespect has an impact on the way females are starting to act. Do you think songs like this have an impact on relationship?
