Word around the web is. . . “T.V. Star” Kim Kardashian is getting more than comfortable with Rapper/Producer Kanye West. From what I hear, the last time Kim and boyfriend Reggie Bush split; it was because of a few suspicious texts conversations between Kim and Kanye. Wow!! Now recently some photos of Kim and Kanye hit the web and after all of this confusion going on, I would call it less than perfect timing. So far neither Kim, Reggie nor Kanye has commented on this issue which makes things even more suspenseful. Remember I don’t make the stories, I just state the facts…PEACE

It seems like the media only feeds off of negativity, and the positive always gets the backseat. Most of the stories and scandals that are reported in the media are really one sided. For example, the Sandra Bullock and Jesse James split has been getting a lot of attention, but for the most part all I’ve been hearing is how Jesse’s cheating ways lead to the break up and his mistresses’ side of the story. But they failed to report how well Sandra is handling the issue. I saw an interview she did with ET last night; and I was amazed about how mature and calm she was about it, I guess it didn’t get great ratings but what’s more important? I think she had a great attitude and that is what is keeping her going, and with the stereo-type of females being bitter after they’ve been cheated on is something that she doesn’t fit into. To quote her, she says “All I know is that I did the best I can do to be a good wife to him, and if that’s the type of women he prefers, then he can have them.” Now that’s powerful, that says a lot about her character and she is definitely able to keep her composure. I hope Jesse finds the lord and learns how to practice fidelity, but until then I’ll keep you guys updated….peace

Last week was International Women’s Week (8th of March to the 12th ),  so I figured what better way to celebrate than learn a little about the woman who just wrote, “I Am An Emotional Creature”.  The book is written by Eve Ensler and just made its debut coinciding with the yearly V-day event that Eve Ensler founded. V-day occurs right around Valentines Day and is a global movement to stop violence against women and girls around the world.   On the website they mention that for V-Day, teens and adults alike volunteer and organize various events “ produce(ing) annual benefit performances of The Vagina Monologues, A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer, and screenings of the V-Day documentary Until the Violence Stops.   Eve Ensler is most highly regarded for her creation of the Vagina Monologues which is a play performed by schools like Berkeley High, numerous colleges and women’s groups across the nation.  The Vagina Monologues feature various women talking about their vaginas and the emotions that arise around that body part.  Also, each year the play adds a different woman character from around the world speaking about her womanhood and vagina.  Last year the new character was a woman representing the Congo, a place where women are at risk for rape or genital mutilation (their genitals are sometimes sewn or damaged in other ways) and do not have much say in what happens to their bodies.  Although I have not yet had a chance to read Eve Ensler’s new book I did read an excerpt from it.  The excerpt is a slam poem all about what it means to be an emotional creature, to be a teenage girl.
